The tall kneeling medicine ball chest pass is an explosive exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the chest, shoulders, and core. It is an excellent exercise for anyone looking to build power, especially athletes looking to improve their performance in their field of competition.
For example, in a football setting, the Med Ball Chest pass is a great tool that allows an athlete to work where he carries his hands. This is important because you want your hand placement in a good position to be ready to strike when in pass protection. Remember, we are looking to add power to a punch/strike when in pass protection.
Initially, you may want to focus on pausing in between reps to ensure proper positioning. With time though, you can eventually progress to more rhythmic (i.e. back to back) repetitions.
